About House of Dash
House of Dash was officially founded in 2014 by Erika “Kalacey Dash” Seabrooks as a creative consulting and lifestyle brand rooted in individuality, style, and innovation.
What began as a fashion consulting and styling collective quickly evolved into a multifaceted business spanning branding, event production, marketing, and creative direction. From the start, House of Dash has been committed to helping clients stand out—never blend in.
From 2016 to present, House of Dash has maintained an ongoing partnership with the National Cannabis Festival, providing event production, management, and staffing—demonstrating its strength not only in fashion and branding, but in large-scale event execution.
Over the years, House of Dash has also been featured in numerous fashion events and pop-up shops, continuing to build a reputation for creativity, professionalism, and cultural relevance.
At its core, House of Dash is driven by a simple philosophy: in a world full of uniform, be different. Each month, each project, and each client is an opportunity to push boundaries, elevate vision, and create something unforgettable.
House of Dash has had the privilege of styling notable talent including Valentina Amour (Bad Girls Club: Season 10), DJ Money (Wale’s DJ and Mac Miller’s International Tour DJ), and Grammy-nominated artist Raheem DeVaughn. In 2015, House of Dash designs were featured on Jimmy Kimmel Live during a performance by Wale—marking an early milestone in the brand’s growing influence.
Kalacey Explains It All Travel Blog
An avid traveler with over 15 years of experience in the travel industry, she started her travel blog, http://www.kalaceyexplainsitall.com in 2019. On the blog, Kalacey is able to review and highlight her favorites along the way, from F&B experiences and properties as a whole, to luxury travel experiences and different excursions. She specializes in Europe, the Caribbean and the United States. Kalacey is also an Elite Yelper, where she is recognized for the quality of pictures and content she provides for all her reviews, and enjoys being able to review new properties and increase their bookings. She has also been able to join well known Luxury tours through Trafalgar Tours to Morocco, France, Switzerland and Spain.
For the last few years Kalacey has been building unique travel experiences for a wide variety of clients as an Independent Travel Agent and travel consultant. She recently celebrated the launch of her very own travel company, Goddess Travel, which aims to provide a “safe space” for personalized travel experiences, especially for people of color. Kalacey has often found that people can feel overwhelmed by the potentially daunting process of planning a trip, or they think that a limited budget restricts them from certain experiences; and so she really is working to inform and empower her clients, and help them to realize that they CAN see the world, even on a limited budget or without considerable travel expertise, as long as they have the proper planning and guidance. Kalacey’s hope with Goddess Travel is to inspire others to visit new places and try new things.
In 2021, Goddess Travel launched Girls Trips, specially curated “girls only” getaways meant to bring together dynamic women who love to meet new people and experience other cultures, but perhaps lack the inspiration or knowledge to actually plan and execute a trip on their own.
In 2016, House of Dash expanded its footprint within the fashion and events space, serving on committees for Indie Fashion Week DC. That same year, CEO Kalacey played a key role as a member of the steering committee for the first-ever National Cannabis Festival in Washington, DC.
“Started HOD as a group for likeminded individuals to share talents and grow with each other like a family.”
